LUCY W | What a challenge! 

Interiors by Stephanie Kasel has been entrusted with the complete renovation and extension of a chalet on 3 levels that can accommodate a family with 4 children as well as many friends thanks to the 6 new bedrooms.
 

Everything was redone, a renovation from top to bottom, starting with the complete demolition of the interior partitions, the addition of large bay windows, complete insulation and of course the redistribution of the rooms according to the new plan imagined by our agency.
 

The initial distribution has been completely revised. It consisted of 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms upstairs. We needed a good dose of creativity and cleverness to accommodate 2 more bedrooms and 1 more shower room.
 

The 2 other levels have also been completely reviewed and 2 extensions were needed to accommodate a friendly entrance offering plenty of storage and a gym on the lower ground floor.
 

All the floorings and wall coverings have been redesigned and our agency has proposed a composition and materiality adapted to the region and the local traditional architecture.
 

Three main materials share the spotlight; a lot of wood, old reclaimed and treated wood, white and softened cream-colored stone for the 5 bathrooms.
 

The cabinetry has all been custom designed made on measure in collaboration with local craftsmen.
 

The wallpapers, the old wood and of course the chosen lighting make it a chalet with a contemporary but very warm look.
 

After more than a year of work, in particular because of excavations and structural work, the owners are finally enjoying this pleasant and friendly chalet, offering a panoramic view of this incredible landscape.
